Xabi Alonso confirms the future

Xabi Alonso is not interested in taking a job in the Premier League next season, or anywhere else.

The Spaniard has made an impression since taking charge of the Bayer Leverkusen team in October, as well-known clubs began to take an interest in him.

He was recently linked with a job at Tottenham Hotspur, a club who are looking for a new manager for next season.

However, Alonso has rejected these reports confirming that he will not break his contract with the German club.

“I have been in football for many years. Rumors are normal, but we still have a lot to achieve,” he initially said.

“That’s why my mind has been 100% here for the last few months. And, my mind is also 100% here for next season,” added the 41-year-old.

Xabi Alonso is believed to be being monitored by Real Madrid, where he played years ago.

The former representative of Spain is seen as an option for the future of “Los Blancos”.

Otherwise, Alonso has a valid contract with Bayer Leverkusen until the summer of next year.
