Guardiola, happy for the qualification, seeks revenge against Real

Pep Guardiola is happy that Manchester City secured qualification for the semi-finals of the Champions League.

“Citizens” drew last night with Bayern Munich 1:1 at “Allianz Arena”, but they had won the first game at “Etihad Stadium” 3:0 and that was enough to go to the semi-finals.

Now, the Spanish coach is thinking about the double confrontation with Real Madrid, in what is being considered as the final before the final.

The English champion was defeated in a dramatic match by “Los Blancos” in the semi-final last year, while now the coach of Man City is looking for revenge.

“The semi-final again… the players really feel the experience we had in this competition, they want to do as well as possible”, stated “Guardiola” for “BT Sport”.

He also spoke about the double challenge with Bayern.

“We found ourselves struggling in the first half and the 4:1 result doesn’t really reflect what happened over the two games. Thankfully, they dropped their cases. We defended well and in the second half we were much better. We need to have more passes against a team of such quality as we lacked that. In addition, I congratulate all those who are part of Manchester City and I thank the fans who came to Munich”, continued Guardiola.
