In an interview, the Argentinian spoke about his two former coaches, Guardiola and Luis Enrique
Lionel Messi has said that the approach that Pep Guardiola has used at Barcelona has ended up doing football a lot of harm.
The Argentinian striker has played the best of his career under the orders of Guardiola at Barcelona in what is now considered one of the best clubs in history.
Speaking in an interview with Movistar, the program ‘Universo Valdano’, he recalled his time in Barcelona with Guardiola and Luis Enrique when they were his coach.
“Guardiola did a lot of damage to football because everything we did seemed very simple and everyone wanted to copy him,” Messi said.
“After this period I have met many teams with Guardiola’s style and then you understand what he has done. Pep has something special in the preparation of the match, to see them, to analyze them and to realize them”.
