Jurgen Klopp has confirmed the start of talks with Roberto Firmino for contract extension.

The Brazilian’s future is still unclear, as he is going through the last year of his contract with the “Reds”.

However, there are hopes that Firmino can renew his contract with Liverpool.

“Normal conversations are taking place. We will see what will happen,” said Klopp.

The 31-year-old’s current contract expires on June 30, 2023.

Roberto Firmino has been part of Liverpool since the summer of 2015.

He has so far made 347 appearances in all competitions; scored 106 goals and contributed 78 assists.
